Dr. Alonzo is a native Texan, and grew up in San Antonio. He obtained his undergraduate and medical degrees from Texas A&M University. He then completed his general surgery training locally at Houston Methodist Hospital. Dr. Alonzo specializes in performing general, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery including surgeries for thyroid, breast, small bowel, colon, and all skin lesions. He is especially interested in gastric reflux and complex hernia repair surgeries.

Dr. Alonzo is passionate about advocating for his patients’ well-being and is committed to their comfort and high-quality care.

In his spare time, Dr. Alonzo enjoys grilling, fishing, and spending time with his friends and family. He is excited to continue to serve the Houston community, which he now calls home.
