Dr. Preeti Singh is a board-certified general surgeon with a special interest in breast surgery, welcoming patients throughout the greater Houston area as part of Southwest Surgical Associates. Born in New York with deep family roots in Houston, Dr. Singh and her family have made Houston their home. She is dedicated to compassionate, personalized care and takes the time to understand each patient’s concerns, explain treatment options, and develop an individualized plan.

Her clinical interests include breast masses and lesions, benign breast disease, breast cancer, hernias, gallbladder disease, appendicitis, and colon and colorectal disease. She incorporates minimally invasive, laparoscopic, and robotic techniques and utilizes Enhanced Recovery pathways when appropriate to help patients recover more comfortably and return to their daily lives.

Dr. Singh has extensive research experience in surgical oncology and breast disease through her work at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, with a focus on breast cancer genetics, cancer susceptibility genes, clinical decision support, artificial intelligence, and cancer research. She completed her general surgery training at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center after beginning her surgical training at Montefiore Medical Center in New York, and served as Education Chief Resident.

A strong advocate for patients facing a cancer diagnosis, Dr. Singh is committed to combining evidence-based medicine, meticulous surgical technique, and compassionate care. Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling, reading, and cooking and is proud to serve the Houston community she now calls home.
