Dr. Le is board-certified in Colon and Rectal Surgery. She specializes in the care of conditions involving the colon, rectum, and anus. These include cancers of the colon, rectal, and anus as well as benign colon diseases such as Crohn’s, ulcerative colitis, and diverticulitis. She also provides specialized care of anorectal conditions such as hemorrhoids, anal fissures, and anal fistulas, and pelvic floor disorders such as fecal incontinence and constipation. Dr. Le has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery for both colon (laparoscopy) and anorectal diseases. She strives to incorporate the latest techniques in her practice. In addition, her practice offers many office-based procedures for hemorrhoids and other anorectal conditions. Dr. Le characterizes her colon and rectal surgery practice as collaborative, priding herself in providing her patients with a thorough understanding of their conditions and the treatment options available so that they can make well-informed decisions.
Dr. Le is a native Houstonian. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rice University, having double majored in Biochemistry and Psychology. Following this, she graduated from medical school with Honors from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. She then completed a general surgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine and fellowship training in colon and rectal surgery at The University of Texas Affiliated Hospitals Program.
Dr. Le speaks Vietnamese and treats patients 14 years and older. She and her husband have twin children to whom they are devoted. Besides spending time with family and friends, she enjoys traveling abroad and is an avid reader.
